Atricore Signs Agreement with 3CON to Expand Cybersecurity Offerings in Brazil
According to IDC, the Brazilian information security market is projected to grow by over 16%, reaching USD 1.7 billion by 2024. The implementation of open-source systems and 24x7 managed services are the partnership's key differentiators.
São Paulo, July 12, 2024 – 3CON IT & Digital, a Brazilian consultancy with over 30 years of experience, announces a strategic partnership with Atricore, a global provider of cybersecurity solutions founded in 2008 and headquartered in Silicon Valley (California, USA). Under this agreement, 3CON will market and implement Atricore's solutions across Brazil, opening doors in vertical markets and regions where it has a significant presence.
Atricore's portfolio includes four main service lines: the Security Operations Center (SOC), which monitors and responds to security incidents in real-time, with Wazuh's SIEM as the primary tool; Identity and Access Management (IAM), covering authentication, authorization, and identity directories to ensure secure access, with JOSSO and midPoint as standout solutions; Security Tests, including Pentest and Stress Test, providing detailed assessment and recommendations for corrections; and DevSecOps, integrating security practices throughout the development stages, ensuring safer operations and code free of vulnerabilities.
According to Genivaldo Araújo, CEO of 3CON, the alliance brings essential complementation to their service offerings. "We have never witnessed so many attacks, threats, and data breaches in the corporate environment. That's why we chose a cybersecurity provider that understands the realities of businesses and their integration and operational cost challenges. An important differentiator of Atricore, and a point of convergence for us, is that they are a developer-focused company. They have chosen to work with open systems that facilitate the integration of security applications, leveraging legacy systems and providing the essential foundations for end-to-end 24x7 monitoring through their SOC," he commented.
According to Gianluca Brigandi, CEO of Atricore, this collaboration with 3CON will enable them to bring cybersecurity solutions specifically tailored to the characteristics of the Brazilian market. "We are employing a hybrid approach that integrates Security Operations Centers (SOC) with Identity Governance and Administration (IGA), using 100% open-source technologies. This strategy eliminates licensing costs, significantly contributing to reducing the total cost of ownership (TCO), while enhancing the security postures of our clients. Together, 3CON and Atricore are poised to redefine protection and compliance standards in the Brazilian market, promoting a safer digital environment adaptable to each client's specific needs," he affirmed.
Brigandi also emphasizes that Atricore's comprehensive approach enables clients to meet stringent compliance standards, such as LGPD, offering robust security tailored to local needs.
Regarding the potential of the Brazilian market, Araújo notes that protective solutions in a reality of daily threats remain a priority in corporate planning. "We are optimistic about the partnership. The solution is extremely robust; it is a market of almost R$ 9 billion. We have strategically led both in terms of solution scope and project pricing, bringing a very interesting cost-benefit differential to the Brazilian market," he informed.
Open Source: Open-source solutions play a crucial role in innovation and digital transformation. They offer several advantages, allowing customized solutions for companies of all sizes and sectors, as well as enabling rapid implementation of security improvements and corrections. Unlike proprietary software, open-source solutions like midPoint offer greater cost-effectiveness and adaptability, meeting identity and access management needs across various budgetary conditions.
"Atricore's decision to work with open-source software is not just about costs but also about the freedom to enhance, customize, and integrate with existing software in client companies, enabling faster delivery. Open-source software allows us to envision and implement a tailored environment, which would not be possible with proprietary software," said the CEO of Atricore. "Integrations are crucial. If it's not well-integrated, it ends up not being effective," he added.
